Trembler Speed Control

About Trembler Speed Control

The Trembler is a device where the primary function is to limit the speed of a vehicle to a set lower speed when the
vehicle is driven on rough terrain.

The solution comprises of:

Autokontrol DbW or System 80
Speed limiter developed by Autokontrol.
‘pioneers of speed limitation’ with 30 years’ experience.

The Dual Speed function of the ECU is designed to change the limiting speed, depending on whether the vehicle
is traveling on a graded or ungraded surface.

HOW IT WORKS

process

How it works

01

The ECU analyses the vibration envelope to reduce false changeovers (sporadic or one-off vibrations, therefore, will not affect the operation of the system).

02

The Trembler board on the ECU detects rough surfaces and automatically switches to a lower set speed.

03

After traveling for 5-10 seconds on a rough road surface the lower set speed will be activated; conversely, when a smooth surface has been detected (for 15 seconds) the higher (normal) set speed will be selected.
